Who we are

SwitchGrips UK is the UK branch of SwitchGrips, the counterbalanced golf grip brand. We're based in Northamptonshire and work directly with the SwitchGrips team to bring their grips and counterbalance weights to golfers, golf shops and club fitters across the UK.

Every order ships from our UK stock, so there are no import fees and no waiting on overseas delivery. If you're not sure which grip, size or weight to start with, get in touch and we'll help you choose.

Buying from us

Delivery: we ship to mainland UK and Northern Ireland with Royal Mail. Orders go out within 1 to 2 working days. Standard (Tracked 48) usually arrives 2 to 3 working days after that, and Express (Tracked 24) aims for the next working day. Delivery is free on orders over £50.
Returns: you have 14 days to change your mind. Grips must be unused and unfitted. Faulty items are always covered.

FAQs

Which grip is right for me?

SG is full rubber: soft, tacky and comfortable. SG2 has cord in the top hand for a secure hold in the wet and soft rubber in the bottom hand. SGC is full cord for the firmest hold. If you're not sure, the grip finder will recommend one in about a minute.

Standard or midsize?

Your glove size is the best guide. Most men's S to M/L gloves suit standard, and L and above usually suit midsize. Women's and junior hands usually suit standard. Both sizes are the same price. The grip finder takes your glove size and current grips into account.

How are they fitted?

The standard way, with grip tape and solvent, like any other grip. Any club fitter or golf shop can do it, or you can do it yourself with a basic regripping kit.

How do the weights work?

Each grip has a port in the end that takes a screw-in weight. Every grip comes with a 2g weight fitted. Swap it for a heavier one and the balance point moves towards your hands, so the head feels lighter and the club feels steadier. You can change weights at any time without regripping.

Which weights should I buy?

Start with a sample pack (one each of 4g, 8g, 14g and 20g) to find what suits you, ideally in your driver first. Once you know your weight, weight packs give you four of one size to set up the rest of your clubs.

Which clubs should I start with?

The driver. It's where most golfers notice the difference first. Find your weight there, then do the rest of the bag.

Do you sell putter grips?

SwitchGrips also makes a range of putter grips, but we don't stock them in the UK yet. If you're interested, get in touch and we'll let you know if that changes.

What colours are available?

Nine colours, in both standard and midsize. If a colour is out of stock, you can sign up on the product page and we'll email you when it's back.
